The DC Department of Public Works will collect holiday trees and greenery from December 27 – January 31. Click here for more information on how to get your tree collected.

The DC Office of Planning (OP) is amending its Comp Plan, a 20-year framework that guides future growth and development.

ANCs are part of this process and we want to hear from you. If you have comments and suggestions for language to add or remove, please send them to your ANC Commissioner before January 8. Community discussion is welcomed at our upcoming public meetings (December 4th and December 18th) and a resolution from ANC 1C is expected to be considered at the January 8 meeting.

OP is committed to responding to feedback received through ANC resolutions. Feedback sent directly to by December 20 will be synthesized and included in the legislative package to Council. ANC resolutions must be uploaded on the ANC Resolution Portal by January 30, 2020.

This is a large document (and a big undertaking), so we would suggest that you focus on the areas that are most important and relevant to our neighborhood. First, check out the Comp Plan How-to Review Guide.

The Future Land Use Map Summary and Mid City Element Summary provide a detailed view into the scope and impact of the Comp Plan and Adams Morgan.

For more elements/chapter (full text) including tracked edits, follow here.

Send us information about your experiences at this intersection and any suggestions you have for improving the intersection at 18th Street and Florida Avenue NW. Please email your ANC Commissioner or tweet comments, videos, and images to @AdamsMorganANC.

About ANC1C
ANC1C consists of eight Commissioners who live in the community and are elected by their neighbors to serve without pay for two-year terms. The Commissioners vote on local matters affecting Adams Morgan residents, and District government agencies are required to give “great weight” to votes taken by the Commission. If you have a matter that you would like ANC1C to address, please contact your Commissioner or the Chair of the relevant Committee. We encourage everyone to participate so that we can do the best possible job representing Adams Morgan.
