The ANC awards grants of up to $1,000 per applicant per year to nonprofit organizations. Criteria for selection include whether the funds will be used to aid residents or organizations in the Adams Morgan ANC's geographic area, whether the persons served by the grant have limited income or opportunity to obtain the services or goods provided for in the grant, and the number of persons served.

ANC 1C considers only those grant applications that fall within the ANC's funded grantmaking priorities:

  • Crime
  • Neighborhood Beautification
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Historic Preservation
  • Pre-K through High School Extra-curricular Educational Activities
  • Publicizing the Availability of Social Services to the Community
  • Economic Development
  • Arts and Cultural Education
