The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advancing a project on Columbia Road NW between 16th St NW and Connecticut Ave NW to improve safety and bus transit operations.

On May 31, 2023, DDOT shared they had "identified a concept for further design and construction on Columbia Rd NW based on the recently completed bus priority planning project in this area." Further details on the next steps in the project can be found in this letter DDOT distributed to ANC 1C.

Following the release of a Notice of Intent regarding the Columbia Road NW Bus Priority project, DDOT extended the public comment period through April 1, 2024. That period has now closed and DDOT will address questions and comments they received on the project's official webpage.

About ANC1C
ANC1C consists of eight Commissioners who live in the community and are elected by their neighbors to serve without pay for two-year terms. The Commissioners vote on local matters affecting Adams Morgan residents, and District government agencies are required to give “great weight” to votes taken by the Commission. If you have a matter that you would like ANC1C to address, please contact your Commissioner or the Chair of the relevant Committee. We encourage everyone to participate so that we can do the best possible job representing Adams Morgan.
